1. Will my dog slip out of it?
The harness is designed to be escape-resistant when fitted correctly. Aim for a snug fit (two-finger rule) and tighten all 5 adjusters evenly. For dogs that try to back out, clip both the front and back rings.

I’m 38, two kids, a Malinois who treats the sidewalk like a track. I don’t have time for classes or another gadget that lasts a week. Plastic buckles on the last two harnesses cracked the first time she hit a squirrel. I put her in this one on a Tuesday. By the weekend I could hold the handle at the school gate without getting pulled into the street. Less yank, more control, no circus. It’s on her every walk now. Not going back to the $25 ones

I’m 34. I almost didn’t order because every “heavy duty” vest looked like it would rub him raw. My Lab used to cough on a collar and slip out of the last step-in. I measured his chest, used the front clip for three short walks, then a full loop around the park. Pressure sits on his chest, not his throat. No choke, no twist, and he stopped fighting the put-on. It’s just part of the leash hook now.
